SME business organization expects cbank to cut rate by 0.25% Fri
MOSCOW, Feb 6 (PRIME) -- The central bank may reduce the key interest rate by 0.25% from the current 7.75% at a meeting to revise the monetary policy slated for Friday, Alexander Kalinin, President of Opora Rossii, a public organization of small and middle-sized business, said on Tuesday.
“Another 0.25% down would be good, it would be a trend. Of course (the rate) must be reduced if the official inflation stands at 2.5%,” he said.
Earlier in February, Central Bank Chairwoman Elvira Nabiullina said that the regulator saw room for easing the monetary and credit policy.
